Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash in Port Chester, NY, where a young person was trapped under a car. The incident, which occurred near the auditorium entrance of Port Chester High School at the intersection of Neuton Ave. and Hilcrest Ave., required swift action from the Port Chester and Rye Brook Fire Departments, as well as a Rescue Company from the Purchase Fire Department.

Upon arrival, first responders found two cars involved in the accident, with two individuals still inside one vehicle and two minors trapped beneath the other. While one of the minors and the occupants inside the vehicle managed to free themselves, efforts focused on extricating the remaining trapped minor.

Rescue teams utilized specialized equipment, including hurst spreaders and a TL-9 stabilizer, to lift the vehicle and safely free the trapped individual. The rescued victim was promptly transferred to the care of Port Chester/Rye/Rye Brook EMS and taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

The coordinated efforts of the emergency responders, mutual aid partners, EMS, and police departments were acknowledged for their rapid response and commendable work during the challenging rescue operation.
