Accidents

Emergency crews in Wayne County, West Virginia, responded to a distressing situation as one of their own fire trucks was involved in a crash on Wednesday. The incident occurred near Upper Heath Creek Road towards Grassy Lick Road, close to the border between Cabell County and Wayne County.

Reports indicate that the fire engine driver veered off the road, then overcorrected, leading to the vehicle running off the opposite side of the road. The crash resulted in heavy entrapment, with four firefighters on board at the time. Unfortunately, one firefighter had to be airlifted to the hospital, while two others were transported via ambulance. Fortunately, the fourth firefighter sustained only minor injuries.

Thankfully, all firefighters involved in the accident are currently in stable condition, as confirmed by troopers who are managing the investigation.
