**Latest News Report: Fatal Head-On Collision in Texas Claims Seven Lives**

At around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, a tragic head-on collision on FM 1433, located approximately eight miles north of Carrizo Springs, Texas, resulted in the deaths of seven individuals and left two children with serious injuries. The incident, which involved a black Chrysler 300 and a 1998 red Dodge pickup, unfolded when the Chrysler lost control at high speed, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided with the Dodge.

According to Rene Cordova, the spokesperson at the Del Rio office of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Chrysler subsequently rolled into a ditch, igniting in flames and leading to the deaths of the driver and three passengers. At the scene, all four occupants of the Chrysler were pronounced deceased, with their identities pending due to the critical condition of their injuries.

Among the victims from the Dodge pickup were identified as Isabel Small, 50; San Juanita De La Cruz, 64; and Victor Manuel Martinez, 83, residents of Crystal City, Texas. Sadly, the driver and two passengers from the Dodge also succumbed to their injuries. Two children from the Dodge were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, with their current medical statuses remaining unknown.
