An accident has been reported on Highway J, approximately 4 miles south of Wilmathsville, Missouri. The incident took place around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, involving a 1998 Freightliner FLD112 operated by Talmon R. Martin, 51, from Memphis, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol revealed that the freight truck was traveling north when it abruptly veered off the right side of the road, causing it to overturn.

Despite wearing a seat belt during the accident, the driver, Martin, sustained moderate injuries and was promptly taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center by the Adair County Ambulance for medical attention. Initial reports suggest that the vehicle slipped off the roadway, resulting in a rollover that inflicted significant damage to the truck, subsequently requiring towing services from Lakeside Towing.

Emergency response units, including the Adair County Sheriff’s Department, Kirksville Fire Department, and Adair County Ambulance District, swiftly arrived at the scene to provide assistance with the accident.
